Natale Oteri

    I am Natale Oteri, President and CEO of Dap sides. The year 2017 was one of important milestones. It was exactly 40 years ago that I had the intuition to create this company. I was quite young, 24 years old, but my enthusiasm and ambitions were such that they gave me the strength to be able to build something very important. Today, I can say that Dap Sides is a recognised and respected company in our sector.

    I remember starting out in Milan from a small basement of only 60 square meters. Today, our company is spread across more than 30,000 square meters, where around 100 people work to carry out their daily tasks.

    We faced hard times in the past, where the crisis made its presence felt.

    Five years ago, we reversed the negative trend and began to grow once again.

    Our strength comes from

    our people,
    our managers.
    our customers. With many of our customers that I may define (would define) as historic, we have established very strong partnerships, some of which have lasted for over 30 years. Thanks to this, during the most difficult years, they strongly believed in us, staunchly defending our association/partnership. The basis for their belief was the certainty that their Partner would support always them and, in any event, guarantee the highest quality of the service, without ever losing sight of common objectives, one of many being the efficiency of the supply chain.
    We have always been proactive with our customers; over the years, we have been able to design and manage extremely complex and personalised activities, which go beyond the classic management of pallet/logistics/distribution.

    This now allows me to define our logistics as increasingly project-based logistics.

    The concerns of a logistic operator are the ability provide a suitable space for the stock of the products, to ensure that the product is delivered, within the established timeframes, to its destination, whether it is a point of sale, pharmacy, or mass-market retailer, as well as propose and supply packaging which is suitable for transport and those who receive it…

    In the world of TODAY, this just isn’t enough!

    I have implemented a plan, together with my associates, aimed at offering our customers increasingly tailor-made services and activities that are integrated throughout the supply chain, upstream and downstream from the management of logistics more typically understood as storage and warehousing.

    We move our planning and our proposals forward with the sole aim of relieving the customer from logistics operations and it is for this reason we are looking to extend our range of services which revolve around the supply chain. The ultimate aim is to minimise the impact of fixed costs on the customer’s income statement, making them as variable as possible, so that they are able to concentrate on their core business.

    Over time, we have acquired and developed skills in areas of strong growth, such as operational marketing and e-commerce, offering IT, management and operational support, from order management and CRM, to delivery to the consumer’s home, and cash collection.

    When you really think about it, it’s a nice advantage (for those involved in e-commerce)!

    To those who ask me why customers choose us, I answer

    Because we are us flexible
    Because there are 4 of us to help them, and ensure they are satisfied
    Why do we guarantee them the highest level of service, risking our reputation
    In our profession, we know that we must work together, side by side (be a team that is cohesive and transparent).

    And that is what we do, as if we were a part of one big family. Perhaps this is the reason our customers feel at home here. Family is the value I wanted to form the base of this company and on which I built the foundations.

    Extremely important to Dap is the tradition that coexists and collaborates cooperates/contributes with innovation to achieve one of our greatest goals…. that of process innovation. I dream of an even larger company, with a continuous growth in turnover, a sustainable growth … which means that it will be a company capable of facing a market of continual and rapid evolution.
