Collection of material and installation of point of sale

    Value-added service: from the collection of obsolete promotional material to the point of sale fitout

    We have taken over the management of activities in the points of sale for a well-known telephone service provider. The mandate consisted of periodically handling all the information and promotional-advertising material addressed to the final customer, aligning it with the BTL and ATL communication and the promotions of the telephone company.

    We set up a dedicated floor area to collect all the codes (15-20 SKUs) and prepare the parcels destined for the POSs based on the flow and rendering specifications. The parcels were sent to a node for each region/platform.

    The process of delivering material involves:

    • Optimisations of routes to more effectively serve more POSs
    • Arrangement of a time for the removal of obsolete materials
    • Installation according to the new provisions contained in the renderings provided by the customer

     

    Examples of performance indicators:

    • Warehouse packaging times for bundles to be sent to POSs: 24-48 h
    • Time to distribute materials: 24-48 h

    Within the first 2 days of the following month, all POSs in Italian territory had to be set up with new materials (before the start of the promo period).

     

    The value-added service conceived for this customer, during the delivery of the material and preparation of the sales point, also included:

    • Photography of the new installation
    • Collection of obsolete promotional material, which was then disposed of on the local platform
    • Completion of a questionnaire together with the manager of the POS
    • Preparation of the feedback questionnaire in summary table form.

     

    Problems: during production, the customer almost always used different suppliers for paper materials, selected exclusively on the basis of price; this did not allow the work to be organised between one canvas and another as each producer used their own logistics and the POS, on the other hand, maintained the same ones.

    We had the responsibility of aligning the two dynamics of the process and we were able to optimise the work effectively, automating and quickly acting in manual activities, wherever possible.
